The Study in France scholarship campaign is now open!

Deadline: 19 January 2025


The opening of the 5th edition of French Embassy to Eswatini and Mozambique “Study in France” campaign, which allows us to finance scholarships for studying in France each year at the level of Bachelor of Technology (BUT), Masters and Doctorate.


The program is open to everyone, students and teachers alike, respecting the following eligibility conditions: 

  • having Eswatini nationality 

  • being a resident of Eswatini 

  • being 18 years of age or older 

  • having a diploma consistent with the desired level


These scholarships reinforce existing training programmes and partnerships. They are a testament to France’s deep bilateral cooperation ties with Mozambique and Eswatini, and underline the key role played by public-private partnerships in the country’s training and development.


ELIGIBILITY

  • have excelled in their academic and/or professional career;

  • present a coherent, harmonious study project that has professional projection;

  • completed their online registration on this website and duly filled in the spaces presented therein, inserting the required documents;

  • submit proof of application to 3 or more eligible universities with the following criteria:

    • Must have a school tuition fee of no more than 5000 euros per year;

    • It must be a national master's degree recognized by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research;

    • It must be training taught at a public higher education institution;

    • It must be training provided on French territory;

  • present the language certificate required by the university where they applied.

  • Chemistry, Hygiene, Safety and Environment;

  • Biology, Environmental Sciences;

  • Geology, Geosciences;

  • Agronomy, Food processing;

  • Logistics, Transport, Maintenance;

  • Architecture, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering.


Human and Social Sciences

  • Political and Legal Sciences, International Relations, Public Administration;

  • Economics, Finance, Business Management, Auditing and Accounting;

  • Geography, Sociology;

  • History, Archaeology;

  • Communication, Journalism;

  • Educational Sciences;

  • Philosophy, Theology.


Health and Sports

  • Medical and paramedical sciences;

  • Public health, medical-social, administration;

  • Veterinary sciences - Sports sciences.


Please note that the list above refers to areas of study and not specific courses, so we invite candidates to research existing courses within each area.


NB: APPLICATIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIPS ARE INDEPENDENT FROM APPLICATIONS TO UNIVERSITIES . EACH UNIVERSITY AND EACH COURSE HAS SPECIFIC APPLICATION OPENING AND CLOSING DATES AND THE SCHOLARSHIP CALENDAR DOES NOT NECESSARILY MATCH THE DIFFERENT ADMISSION DATES AT THE VARIOUS UNIVERSITIES.


THEREFORE, WE RECOMMEND THAT EACH STUDENT AT MASTERS LEVEL BE PROPERLY INFORMED ABOUT THE APPLICATION DATES AND APPLY TO UNIVERSITIES IN PARALLEL TO THE APPLICATION FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP.


SELECTION

A rigorous selection process will be conducted by a joint committee of companies and the Embassy to identify motivated candidates with solid academic and professional projects. We strongly encourage applications from young professionals from all provinces of Mozambique and Eswatini, and from people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Applications from women will be highly appreciated.


Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in English. In order to identify the beneficiaries of the grants, the Advisory Board will consider:


  • The candidate's skills and merit, as indicated by his/her academic background and professional experience;

  • The quality of your study project and its coherence with your previous studies;

  • The level of proficiency in foreign languages ​​and its suitability with the suggested curriculum;


Submission of the acceptance letter from the university (master's degree) by June 4th is required. Selected candidates will be contacted individually. Due to the high number of applications, we ask that you do not attempt to contact the French Embassy to obtain further information about your selection.
